Cascading, hierarchical community pages...
... conceptual design... prototype templates... testing... examples...
Say, you have more than a dozen Domain Names, landing pages... and you want many different community pages, with a top-level directory... you've requested help from CoreFact Professional Services...
Currently, the CoreFact menu bar is a property of the agent's account... community pages are all one... that won't work for this agent... wants community pages tailored to each domain-name... it's a sturctural problem...
An example:
| Silicon Valley, California | ||
|---|---|---|
| Click the links below for Community Information | ||
Area/Region, | alphabetical -or- by population?
| |
| Schools: | List of school districts in Santa Clara County, California School3-link-here | |
| Parks, Recreation, Cultural | Park1link here Park2link here Park3 link here | |
| More: | Misc-URL-2-here Misc-URL-3-here etc... | |
There would be click-able anchor-text, for each Community Link, in the rightmost column.
Alternate solutions... custom HTML templates... a few different possibilities...
a directory page, with some structure...
or, a table-of-contents...
some alternative templates...
When this is ready, we can make all the lines around the boxes invisible...
... and tighten-up the layout...
The photos and the text will all be hyperlinks to community websites...
... framed if possible? otherwise, pop a new window?
Visual images —— click-able Table-of-Contents,
above the fold on the top of the web-page,
with links to each community section...
| Thumbnail 01 photo goes ............. here ........... | Community-name01 and some text? The whole row is a hyperlink to page01 ... |
|---|
...
| Thumbnail 02 photo goes ............. here ........... | Community-name02 and some text?
|
|---|
...
| Thumbnail 03 photo goes ............. here ........... | Community-name03 and some text?
|
|---|
...
etc...
...
Alternative structure... less-graphical ... no photos... just text... easier, simpler...
Table of contents? List of the communities...
Community01... Links to HTML anchor01 below... A CLICK HERE LINKS TO SELECTED SECTION, BELOW... TOC-STYLE
Community02... Links to HTML anchor02 below...
Community03... Links to HTML anchor03 below...
etc...
Community01-name... Category-01 City ... Wiki ... Schools ...
C01 - title01 | link01
C01 - title02 | link02
C01 - title03 | link03
Community02-name... Category-01 City ... Wiki ... Schools ...
C02 - title01 | link01
C02 - title02 | link02
C02 - title03 | link03
ETC...
Yet another alternative template...
| City-or-Community-Name01-goes-here | |
|---|---|
| ::::: r1c1 ::::: | :::::r1 c2:::::: heading??? |
| Thumbnail 01 photo goes ............. here ........... | topic-name1a and some text?
|
Thumbnail 02
photo | topic-name2 and some text? Text-link here with text? .................... |
Thumbnail 03
photo | topic-name3 and some text? Text-link here with text? .................... |
| ... etc ... | |
| ::::: r3c3 ::::: | ::::: r2c2 :::::: |
Another variation...
First row spans three columns,
second row, first cell spans three rows...
middle column... labels
right column... names and URLs
| Community-name-goes-here ... | ||
|---|---|---|
| thumbnail photo... goes... here... | City: | City-url-here |
| Schools: | School1-url-here School1-url-here School2-url-here School3-url-here | |
| More: | Wiki-url-here URL-2-here URL-3-here etc... | |
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Another template example:
| Community-name-goes-here ... | ||
|---|---|---|
| thumbnail photo... goes... here... | City: | City-url1-here City-url2-here |
| Schools: | School1-url-here School2-url-here School3-url-here | |
| More: | Wiki-url-here Misc-URL-2-here Misc-URL-3-here etc... | |
There would be click-able anchor-text, for each Community Link, in the rightmost column.
